Stretched over 2 km of private sandy beach, Bar Reef Resort in Kalpitiya offers rustic yet charming accommodation surrounded by landscaped gardens. From November to May, guests can hop on a daily boat in front of the Beach Club to watch dolphins and whales at close range. An infinity outdoor pool and on-site water sports activities are also available.
The villas and cabanas available are simple but well-furnished. Each comes with a seating area and a private garden. The private outdoor bathrooms are equipped with cold-water showers.
Bar Reef Resort is a 1-hour drive from Wilpattu National Park, famous for its leopards, elephants and bears. It is also a 2-hour drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. Colombo City is a 2-hour drive via the expressway.
From May to October, take exciting kite surfing lessons at in-house school. Guests can also take yoga lessons or relax at the Ayurveda Spa. Alternatively, just approach staff at the resorts tour desk to arrange a selection of day trips. Airport transfers are also available at an extra charge.
The on-site restaurant serves both international and Sri Lankan cuisines.
The hotel day starts from hour 12:00 and ends at 10:00.
Please note that kite surfing lessons (advanced) can be arranged at the property for an additional cost.

All children are welcome. Any child between 6 - 12 years will be charged 38 USD per child on a per night basis. The child rate needs to be paid directly at the property.
